On Wednesday, the governor of Sulia Omar Prieto announced that 5 Tula bombs would be active this week.
“We had several damaged bombs, but they have already been repaired, and today a third one is being added, tomorrow the fourth bomb will be turned on, and if God willing, by the end of this week we will turn on the fifth bomb,” the governor announced.
He added that on Tuesday he was with water supply minister Evelin Vázquez at a pumping station in Tula to check out the works that are being developed there and which are aimed at increasing pressure in pipelines in the direction of Maracaibo, San Francisco and other municipalities that form part of important fluid distribution system.
He said that they are exploring the possibility of “launching the second stage of Thule, Thule II, because the machines have already been purchased by the government, which has the possibility that when we carry out repairs or maintenance of six pumps that have more than 40 years (in Tula) we we can turn on Thule II, we will not have difficulties that we have encountered in some sectors. ”
