Startup Roundup: Week 13 (Fantasy Football)

Welcome to the release of the 13th edition of “Running Back”. Last week, the Rams and the Chiefs were on a date, but they have fairly simple situations that are easy enough to summarize, so this week you will see all 32 teams. But if you have a question that is not answered in the following treatise, ask off on Twitter, @andrew_seifter,

Import your team to My Playbook for instant advice on the lineup >>

Arizona Cardinals
David Johnson failed to achieve 100 bouts for the first time in a month, but there is no need to overreact to his calm work of the 12th week. Johnson still dominates this back field and has a favorable schedule during fantasy playoffs (DET, @ATL, LA Rams), so he has a good chance to return the middle and lower end RB1 values when it matters. Chase Edmonds is still his handcuffs.

Atlanta falcons
Falcon's crime in the last three weeks went to the toilet, and this was reflected in the fantastic production of Tevin Coleman. Coleman saved his fantasy day with the landing of garbage against the Saints last week, but he was only 23 yards from the fight on 11 touches. Of course, Coleman deserves blame for the team’s offensive fight, as his league-leading share of negative runs demonstrates.

The good news for Coleman owners is that he is still the clear leader in Atlanta and has at least three catches in four games in a row. Coleman is still in RB2's weekly conversation, but he will need Matt Ryan and company to get back on track to become a difference maker.

"Judge" Ito Smith also fell victim to abusive malaise in Atlanta. Smith has not broken 30 bouts in any of the last three games, and he has not scored on this site, either by finding the end zone four times in five games at the beginning of the year. Smith is a touchdown or bust of the RB3 even at best, but he loses some semblance of autonomous value when the falcons fight, as they do now.

Devonta Freeman has the right to return from IR on the 16th week, but it is difficult to understand that he was in a hurry with the Falcons, which were already completely excluded from the playoffs.

Baltimore ravens
Alex Collins sat down against a raider with a leg injury, paving the way for Gus Edwards to reject the wire to publish this second straight 100+ yards a week. Edwards is a common non-factor in the passing game, but, fortunately, the Crows are a decidedly running team with rookie Lamar Jackson in defender. Edwards turns out to be the perfect complement to Jackson, and with a very favorable schedule ahead, Edwards should be able to keep the RB2-value down every week.

Also note the game last week that Thai Montgomery finally took part in his new team, handling 11 touches of 64 yards. Montgomery does not threaten Edwards’s workload, but it’s worth to see if he will catch up with Collins for job number two. If Montgomery can play a crucial role in Baltimore, he can provide a little flexibility in PPR formats.

Buffalo accounts
The bills put an end to the aspirations of the playoffs in Jacksonville with an unexpected victory on Sunday, but they did it on the feet of defender Josh Allen, and did not run off Lesia McCoy. Allen ran the ball 13 times and dropped just under 100, while McCoy collected only 46 yards on his 17 shifts.

Jacksonville is not an easy team to run on, so it makes sense that the bills will try to catch the defense with more defensive runs than usual. McCoy still gets a healthy dose of touch and remains a low-budget RB2, moving ahead, and Chris Ivor acts as his direct backup.

Carolina Panthers
What else can we say about Christine McCaffie? CMac set a franchise record with 237 rifle yards against the Seahawks and became only the fifth player since 2000 to compile at least 100 yards and a touchdown on both the ruler and the receiver. With nine touchdowns in the last five games and terrific matches in the last three weeks of the fantasy season (@TB, @CLE, ATL), McCaffrey was able to find himself in this year's championship record list.

Cameron Artis-Payne has only one season, but he is the handcuffs for McCaffrey owners.

Chicago bears
A trip to Detroit for Thanksgiving Day might have been similar to the game of Jordan Howard, but again there was Tariq Cohen, who had the best fantasy day. Last week I had Cohen, and he will continue to do it regardless of the match, because he is simply the best player and better suited for this crime.

Cohen has not quite covered the world lately – his 59 yards against Lviv were his most since the 8th week, but he managed to score in six of his last eight games. It is worthy of RB2, especially in PPR formats. Meanwhile, Howard only led 81 shooting tournaments once this season – and this was in the first week. He is that he has been all year long: the RB3 / flex version dependent on landing.

Cincinnati Bengals
Andy Dalton was placed on IR because of a sprained finger, but I don’t expect that it will greatly affect Joe Mikson, as I explained in the column “10 things that we learned” this week. After two relatively slow games, Mixon gathered 155 battles against Browns on Sunday, and fantasy owners will surely take it, although most of the production came from the Bengals, faced with an insurmountable second-half deficit. With a favorable holiday season (DEN, @LA Chargers, OAK, @CLE), Mixon can approach the RB1 value even with Jeff Driskel under the center.

Gio Bernard caught just one run in 12 yards against the Browns and does not get enough work to deserve a separate value while Mixon stays healthy.

Cleveland Browns
Nick Chubb continued his game 200 yards against Atlanta with 128 arrows against Cincinnati, and also scored two touchdowns for the second game in a row. Perhaps the most promising of all, Chubb was used in the host game, as the new offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens took over, and Chubb proved that he was coming to this task. Of course, the match was very favorable, but Chubb did enough in the last two games to show that he would be high-end RB2 at worst, even when he faced tougher defenses.

Chubb’s participation in the passing game is not a good sign of the viability of the Duke Johnson. After catching nine passes in Week 9, Johnson has only four and one in the last two games. Now it’s not a very attractive flexibility option, even in PPR leagues.

Dallas Cowboys
Ezekiel Elliott headed 140 playgrounds for the third consecutive game of Thanksgiving Day, and after the Cowboys offense finally clicked, Zeke is set to deliver the highest RB1 down. He missed some workout over the weekend with a sore thigh, but it would not cost him any action, and the Cowboys most likely just looked for an excuse to give him some rest.

If Elliott suffers a more serious injury, Rod Smith will immediately become a senior starter. He is a strong handcuff / lottery ticket.

Denver Broncos
Phillip Lindsay continued to make his case for abandoning the wire pickup of the year on the 12th week, rushing for a career of 110 yards and landing on just 14 carriers. Lindsay will not see massive workloads, especially with Royce Freeman, but he is incredibly efficient on a transfer basis, and his remaining schedule is a thing of beauty. He is a high-class RB2, which could even come close to RB1 territory.

As for Freeman, he will only see 5-10 minutes in most weeks, and he will need a touchdown for delivery as an RB3 / flex option. Most of the fantasy teams related to the playoffs can improve their starting lineups.

Detroit Lions
The lions have not yet announced the status of Carrion Johnson for Week 13, but, of course, they will not rush to return it. Detroit is already completely excluded from the playoffs and can kill two birds with one stone, ensuring that Johnson recovers completely from a knee injury, and may also receive a higher draft draft in April of next year. The fact that the team chose to send Marvin Jones to the damaged stock is not a great sign for Kerryon owners, who hope that he will return with fantasy play-offs just around the corner.

When Johnson went out for Thanksgiving, Legarette Blount turned the clock, handling 20 touches for 103 yards and two touchdowns. For the first time this season Blount exceeded 65 yards from the bout. He is probably looking at another heavy workload this weekend – and maybe outside of it – and the schedule in the next few weeks is very friendly. You will never feel great about starting Blount, but he has worked in RB3 / flex, especially in non-PPR leagues.

Theo Riddick saw only two gears last week, arguing that the Lions do not see him as an option in a running game, even if Johnson was left on the sidelines. Riddick caught at least five passes in four games in a row, though he thus had some PPR-specific flexible appeal, like the previous equivalent of Willie Snead.

Green Bay Packaging Machines
Aaron Jones continues to be the lonely bright spot as the Packers season is circling the ditch. In the face of tough Viking defenses, Jones reached 85 bouts for the fifth straight game and scored his sixth touchdown in that time span. Like Nick Chubb, Jones will have an RB1 advantage in favorable matches and a high RB2 in tough games, but the 15th week trip to Chicago is the only hard game left in Jones's schedule.

With Jones doing 15–20 touches every week, Jamaal Williams became a complete belated thought in the Packer's attack. He is nothing more than handcuffs.

Houston Texans
Lamar Miller's revival continued in Week 12, as Miller became the first backward run to break the 97-yard touchdown, starting with … Lamar Miller. Outside of a quiet game in Denver at Week 9, Miller has been excellent lately, exceeding 100 yards in his last five games. Miller was the main beneficiary of the Texans transition to a more intensive approach, and with a rather favorable schedule ahead, he appeared as a high-end RB2 in time for fantasy playoffs.

The Texans so often control the ball that there are many remains to back up Alfred Blue, who has at least 13 in his last three games. However, Blue averages only 3.4 yards for one of them this season and only scored one touchdown, so it is not a great option for autonomous flexibility. With D & # 39; Onta Foreman still working from his torn Achilles, Blue is locked up as a backup of Miller, but in most leagues there are other handcuffs that have great growth potential.

Indianapolis Colts
Marlon Mack had a solid 96 yards on 17 touches against the Dolphins, but he left the game with a concussion, and his status for Week 13 is undefined. If he is able to satisfy, Mack deserves the approval of RB2 junior class, although he faces a fierce match in Jacksonville, and even if he misses the game, Mack should be a solid RB2 option for playoffs in fantasy.

If Mack misses the game in Jacksonville, Nijheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins will form a committee instead. Last week, Heins unexpectedly pulled Wilkins from nine to zero, but what the team does right after the injury is not always a great sign of what they will do with a full week of preparation. The Colts also played in the back in the fourth quarter, which required the use of passages, which are more likely to include Heins than Wilkins.

Based on past usage, expect Wilkins to do a lot of work early if the Mac is sitting and Heins is acting as a passage down. Both options would be iffy opponents, given the coincidence.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Leonard Fournett was suspended for week 13 for taking part in fist fights last week with a defensive end for Bills Shaq Lawson, so I hope you have already secured the playoffs if you own Fournette. With the Jags leaning on Fournette as cow stakes, he will be high-end RB1 as soon as he returns from the suspension.

With Fournette this week, Carlos Hyde and T.J. Yaldon will command for Jacksonville. Hyde had 10 matches against Buffalo compared to three only for Yeldon, and in the only other game the duo played without Fournette in Week 8, and Hyde played similarly to Yeldon from six to two.

The fact that Jacksonville came out and acquired Hyde, first of all, suggests that they have reservations about bending over Yeldon as the main ball carrier. So expect Hyde to take on this role this week against Indianapolis, and Yeldon will serve as a passage down. Yeldon can still do away with more touches, given the likelihood that Jacksonville will be behind the red-hot Ring, but ultimately both Hyde and Yeldon are reasonable options for RB3 / flex this week.

Kansas City / Los Angeles Rams Chiefs
The leaders and the Rams came out last week after their exciting battle on Monday evening last week, but Karim Hunt / Todd Gurli remain high on RB1, and Spencer Ware / Malcolm Brown remain the top two lottery tickets / handcuffs in fantasy football.

Los Angeles Chargers
I am led by a Melvin Gordon knee injury in the column “10 Things We Learned” this week, so we send this way to analyze the schedule of Gordon and the fantasy look of Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson.

Miami Dolphins
Kenyan Drake had one of his week weeks in Indianapolis, turning 13 touches to 96 yards and two marks. Drake missed some shots during the game due to a repetitive shoulder injury – and will avoid contact in practice for the second week in a row – he is on his way to playing Week 13. Peaks and valleys in Drake’s weekly production mean that he has more RB3 / flex than the weekly RB2, but there is no doubt that he can swing when he hits .

Frank Gore is also an RB3 / flex version, but a completely different one. He is very consistent, but far behind. His 15 touches for 77 yards in Week 12 is what you can expect from him every week.

Minnesota Vikings
Last week, Dalwyn Cook delivered three catches for 47 yards and a touchdown for fantasy owners, but he was completely ineffective on the ground. Over the past two weeks, he now has 19 matches for 41 yards, so it’s no wonder that Minnesota gives Latavius Murray a new kind of runner after he made some decent hurried appearances at the start of the season.

A few weeks ago, I warned that Cook was unlikely to provide the value of RB1, which he was called upon to provide, and the last two games only strengthened my conviction in this matter. Expect this to be a fairly smooth committee in the future, as Murray may see more moves between the fists and the Cook, which are used on external tracks and as a receiver from the back.

New England Patriots
Sony Michel saw her first workload on the cow since returning from a knee injury at Week 10 and responded with high level cascades 133. Michel was terrified at the third quarter, pushing him back in a way that looked potentially serious at first glance, but he quickly returned to the field. James White had a hard racing day – nine – 73 yards, but surprisingly he just caught one five yards pass. Chalk, which is the main emission.

Earlier, Michel and White proved that both of them can approach the lower value of RB1 while working in tandem, but one fly in the ointment is the return of Rex Burkhead. Burkhead is a kind of hybrid of Michel and White, so he can steal some line line tasks from Michel, and some get jobs from White.

This backfield works great for owners of fantasy with two backs, but all the bets from it become a tripartite committee. At the moment, the owners of Michel and White should not overreact – both of them are still confident in RB2 in the worst case, until the opposite is proved, while Burkhead is just an interesting cache.

New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara had a quiet Week 12 by his standards in an appetizing match with Atlanta, but he still produced 98 yards from the fight. Kamara did not score, but he had 12 touchdowns in the previous seven games, so this is not really a cause for concern. He is undoubtedly RB1.

Mark Ingram also had a moderately disappointing game, producing just 66 test yards, despite a soft match. Ingram was a much more fantastic commodity than Camara. But if you think that it will generate the value of RB1 by one and a half times, and the value of RB3 is half the time, it will count as RB2 every week.

New York giants
Saxo Barkley went 140 yards and scored a few touchdowns for the second week in a row at Week 12. It's simple: He’s good.

Malcolm Brown.

Washington
