In the French football club "Lion" they said they did not want to play with "Shakhtar" in Kharkov in the decisive match of the 6th round of the group "F" of the Champions League.
This was stated by the president of “Lion” Jean-Michel Olas against the background of a possible transfer of the match of London “Arsenal” and “Vorskla” from Poltava.
“I'll tell you a secret. We asked UEFA to carefully study what is happening. Ukraine is in crisis and, unfortunately, continues to suffer. UEFA decided to postpone Arsenal’s match with Vorskla (from Poltava – Note Red). Probably, in our situation, we also need to do something, "he said.
The president of “Lion” added that “there is now a great risk” and they don’t want to go to Kharkov.
"In addition, it is difficult to find a plane that would want to fly to Ukraine. We will communicate with UEFA to solve security issues and have a good match with Shakhtar. Everything depends on them," said Olas.
As reported by Strana, before voting in the Rada on the imposition of martial law in UEFA, they stated that European Cup matches (UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League) would not be transferred from Ukraine, despite the introduction of the VP.
Recall that in the Shakhtar-Lyon home match for the Pitmen, the second member of the spring part of the Champions League has to decide.
