Birks Group, one of the oldest jewelry retailers in Canada, began accepting Bitcoin. This is reported in the company's blog.
A new payment option appeared thanks to the partnership of Birks with the largest American Bitcoin processing BitPay. Currently, BTC purchases are available in 8 of the 26 stores located in Canada.
According to Birks, users can purchase products from brands like Rolex, Bulgari, Cartier and Breitling for Bitcoin. In the near future, the Graff and Patek Philippe brands, which are available at newly opened stores in Vancouver, will add to this list.
“Accepting Bitcoin to pay will help Birks Group meet the demands of wealthy foreign customers and attract new customers”– BitPay Commercial Director Sonny Singh said.
Recall, long before Birks Group began accepting Bitcoin for payment, the largest online store of precious metals APMEX.
