Italian coach Mauricio Sari has confirmed that he would welcome the departure of Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard if he is considering joining Real Madrid.
“He has to do this, Eden is 28 years old, and if he wants to leave, I think he should,” said Sari in the comments of the Spanish newspaper Marca on Wednesday.
"Of course, I hope that the opposite will happen, I hope that he will stay here, he has the opportunity to become the best player in Europe right now."
Hazzard’s Chelsea contract ends in 2020, and the Belgian star has repeatedly stated its desire to join Real Madrid.
“If Real Madrid wants to hire me, they know what they need to do,” Hazard said.
Hazzard almost moved to Real Madrid after the end of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but the deal failed and continued the Belgian star between the walls of Stamford Bridge, Chelsea stronghold, who joined his ranks in 2012 and scored 13 goals this season.
