She highlighted the safety of the vaccine, urging those targeted in the first phase to take the initiative and support government efforts to fight the disease without hesitation.

The vaccination campaign is being conducted in two phases: the first began on December 23rd last year and targets priority groups of citizens and residents in categories that include seniors, elderly residents, people with chronic diseases, first line of defense and vital jobs, and the second phase targets all segments. Society.

Al-Hajjah said the authorities are aiming to achieve public immunity, reaching at least 70% of the emirate’s population, adding that the vaccine is safe and effective to prevent Covid-19, urging all groups in society, especially priority groups, to take the lead in its implementation.

And she said, “Given the health risks associated with this disease and the potential for re-infection, those who have recovered from it should take the vaccine,” noting that there is no information on the percentage and duration of protection following exposure to the virus.
