The service of informing about the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Slovenia during a trip and stay abroad, carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will also be available to users of mobile services Telekom Slovenije from February 1.
While we are abroad and everything is going as we want, we, of course, do not think about finding contact information about the nearest diplomatic representation of the Republic of Slovenia.
But if there are any inconveniences that will require their help, it can be very difficult every time without this information.
Now available to most Slovenian mobile phone users.
For this reason, in September 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs introduced SMS BUSINESS SERVICE, to which Telekom Slovenije will join on February 1.
Since Telekom Slovenije has chosen 43.7 percent of Slovenian mobile users for its mobile operator, joining Telekom Slovenije will mean the availability of this service for the majority of Slovenian mobile telephony users. So far, only users of the A1 A1 Slovenija and Telemach networks, who, according to the latest data from the Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (AKOS), have a total market share of 48.8% among users of Slovenian mobile telephony.

Automatically and free of charge for each country
SMS BUSINESS SERVICE works in such a way that when registering with a foreign operator’s network (most often when crossing the state border, which can be done when landing at an airport abroad), the user automatically receives a short message (SMS) with the contact details of a Slovenian diplomatic and consular office . offices in a country whose network currently uses its telephone.
If within 30 days a user is registered several times in the network of the same country, he will receive the mentioned message only at the first such application.
More safety, faster procedures
Based on the experience of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs came to the conclusion that such information increases the safety of Slovenian citizens abroad and at the same time shortens procedures in case of urgent issues.
Consumers are also satisfied that diplomatic and consular missions are most often sought because of the loss or theft of documents, baggage or money, as well as when they need other information.
