MP Ong Teng Koon supported the bill on the tax on goods and services (amendment) in parliament on Monday (November 19). However, he raised some concerns. For example, will it exceed the costs of monitoring and enforcing globally the revenues of GST from import services taxation, and whether businesses, including small, innovative start-ups, can simply give up work in Singapore.
