The infrastructure in which the government is located has been fully restored by the Senegalese company "Bamba Ndiaye Group". Thus, after many years of work, the new administrative building will be solemnly opened by the President of the Republic, Makki Sall.
Relocation of the National Archives delays work by almost 3 years
The rehabilitation work was funded by the state of Senegal and Boud at the level of 30.9% and 60.1% respectively. And if the starting work order was issued on September 6, 2013, the work did not actually begin until March 2016, after almost 3 years. This delay in the actual start of work is related to the time taken to move the National Archive. We are talking about 70 kilometers of archives that have been moved for this purpose.
But if the administrative building was restored, it was not restored. Indeed, innovation and modernization occurred during these major reconstructions of this flagship of our heritage. Among the innovations introduced in the new administrative building is the increase in the solidity of the main building. This was achieved by “strengthening the structure of the building with a system of 10 brackets with 125 micro piles fixed at a depth of 30 m; restoration of all floor slabs; restoration of the entire masonry in the acoustic light walls; reinforcement of facade tapes to support curtain walls ".

Thus, 1,667 kWh on holidays or 13,336 kWh per month are available to be provided to third parties, such as Senelec.

Regarding the updating of fire safety standards, several measures have been taken. Indeed, with the implementation of the 10th floor, the building becomes IGH (high-rise building), which requires certain regulatory requirements in the field of fire safety. Thus, in close connection with the Civil Protection Directorate, appropriate facilities were created that comply with the regulations. Basically, it is passive protection of floors with the help of fire-resistant coating, implementation of a smoke evacuation network, restoration and compliance of energy supply and drinking water; installation of a fire detection network or installation of a RIA (Armed Fire Faucet) network, wet columns and hydrants.
