Intel introduced Intel Neural Compute Stick 2, designed to create intelligent AI algorithms and to prototype computer vision at the edge of the network.
Intel Neural Compute Stick 2 is based on the Intel Movidius Myriad X image processing engine and is supported by the Intel Distribution OpenVINO toolkit.
"The first generation of Intel Neural Compute Stick caused the emergence of a whole community of AI developers in a form factor and price that weren't there before," said Navin Rao, vice president of Intel and general manager of the AI Products Group.
“We are pleased to see the community create next to a strong improvement to calculate the power included with the new Intel Neural Compute Stick 2.”
According to Intel, developers working on smart cameras, unmanned aerial vehicles, industrial robots or smart home devices, Intel NCS 2 offer what you need for a prototype faster and smarter.

Intel NCS 2 runs on a standard USB 3.0 port and does not require additional hardware, which allows users to smoothly convert and then deploy PC-based models to a wide range of devices initially and without using the Internet or cloud connections.
