On Monday evening, the government coalition pulled several bills, funded by the government, from the agenda in the Knesset, fearing that they would not have the necessary majority of votes.
The decision was made after the opposition struck the bill during its third and final vote on Monday. He initially announced that he would support the bill, and did so during the second of the three required votes. He then voted against the bill in the final vote.
Earlier on Monday, the coalition also lost four petitions of no confidence, sponsored by opposition MPs, after it decided to boycott votes due to a procedural dispute with the opposition. But a movement without trust can only overthrow the government, if it is supported by 61 MK, and no movement on Monday went beyond the threshold.

The winning bill, a minor amendment to the legislation on land registration and planning and construction, which sought to determine a new type of lot, held a second vote 27-14. But when the opposition MK unexpectedly switched to the third vote, it was defeated 47-42.
Since Avigdor Lieberman from Israel Beitain left the government last week, the coalition now commands only 61 of the 120 members of the Knesset. This means that even one missing or causing MK can lead to loss of voice.
“Government 61 is a joy for the opposition,” said opposition whip Yoel Husson (Union of Zionists) after the vote. “The bill that the government was defeated is just a promo,” he said.
“Welcome to your coalition, good luck,” said opposition leader Tzipi Livni. This step was carried out, in particular, by M.K. Ofer Shelah from Yesh Atida, who said: "This insidious coalition will fail, it will not pass its evil laws and will suffer one defeat after another."
The chairman of the Knesset Home Affairs Committee, Yoav Kish (Likud), whose committee drafted the bill, said that the bill "was an extremely professional matter with which we worked together, both the coalition and the opposition," he said.
“Yoel Hasson, you are a liar, and you are forcing other people to lie for you.” There is a limit to hypocrisy and behavior at this level, which I have never seen before in the Knesset. ”
