During 2017, 4,114 cases were confirmed in Guanajuato, confirmed by this virus, which is transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, which breeds in clean water, which stagnates in containers such as corcholates, buckets, pots, cups and others.
According to the National Epidemiological Surveillance System of the Federal Secretariat of Health, until the 50th week of the previous year, Guanajuato had 3,830 cases of this virus without alarm data against 38 reported this year over the same period, which means a 99% reduction in cases.
