ENAP confirms the second week in a row the price reduction

All fuels will reduce their price as of Thursday 22, as reported by the National Petroleum Company on Wednesday.

Gasolines 93 and 97 of the eighth will be reduced by 5.8 US dollars, as well as diesel fuel or oil, while kerosene and / or paraffin will be reduced by 7.4 dollars.

In the case of liquefied gas, the reduction will be 16 pesos.

According to ENAP, “prices of products that are traded are determined by the price of import parity, using as a reference a closed, deep and large-scale market, such as the US market in the Gulf of Mexico (hereinafter, the Gulf Coast). In addition to this, the cost of freight in Chile and other expenses characteristic of the import activity of petroleum products are included, ”the text says.

Therefore, “ENAP wholesale prices correspond to the opportunity cost of fuel imports characteristic of an open and competitive market, such as the wholesale market in Chile, without taking into account costs or supply differences, as opposed to those reported by the National Energy Commission in its online information system on fuel prices at the service stations, "- said in a statement.

During the week from November 22 to November 28, 2018, prices and options for using ENAP oil fuels for wholesale distributors will register the second weekly minimum.

These prices include lower prices for gasoline 93, gasoline 97, kerosene, diesel and liquefied gas, a product of movements registered on the international market of the Gulf Coast from Monday 5 to Friday 16 November 2018, a control period for the calculation. Similarly, in ENAP prices and variations, the use of an average contractual exchange rate of 5 days for its clients in the amount of $ 685.56 / USD is considered. This is US $ 3.21 per US dollar higher than ENAP for calculating the price for the previous week.
