Elon Musk wants to combine the human brain with machines

Elon Musk is still talking about his remarks, this time the CEO of Tesla and Space X said that he was working on a kind of “hard drive” that would allow him to carry the human mind. All this as part of their campaign against artificial intelligence.

In an interview with Axios, Mask was asked about the job. Neuralink, one of its less recognized companies, before the entrepreneur identified one of the projects of this unit, focused on creating a device that allows people to overcome what he defines as the “existential threat” of artificial intelligence.

"The long-term pursuit of Neuralink is the achievement of a symbiosis with artificial intelligence", – said Musk. "To achieve a kind of democratization of intelligence, in a way that is not monopolistically supported in purely digital form by governments and large corporations."

To achieve this goal, Musk showed that Neuralink is developing a “hard drive for the human mind,” with the idea that people pour their conscience into these machines, creating a system that basically is an extension of themselves.

This process, according to the employer, in the long run can contribute to “improving” people's intelligence.

"With the improvement of algorithms and hardware, digital intelligence will surpass biological intelligence on a large scale, this is obvious, ”said Musk.

While this may seem contradictory to Tesla’s previous AI statements, it’s actually part of that follows its critical postulates regarding the use of this technology.

In the past, Musk did not leave his reservations about the role of artificial intelligence in the world, creating scenarios worthy of science fiction films, where This technology will lead humanity to the next world war.

Thus, along with the discovery of the new Neuralink device, Mousse continued to expand his disturbing story of how the world will be dominated by artificial intelligence, suggesting that machines can put people in zoos.

"When a species of primate, homo sapiens, became smarter than others, he pushed them into small habitats," Musk pointed out. “(Now) they occupy small corners of the world, cages … zoos. Even the jungles in which they live are limited, so they are large cells …So, you know, this is a possible outcome for us. ”

Of course, Musk plans to fight this possibility with his mental hard drive, which can be implemented in "about a decade", and that, as described by the CEO of Space X, will work with "Microlevel neural electrode interface", "Chip and lots of tiny wires" that will "Implanted in the skull."
