Mexico, December 30 (Notimex). Artificial tears – the best solution for dry eye syndrome, which is not treated and has a multifactorial origin.

Medications, air conditioning, the use of electronic devices, autoimmune diseases, hormonal changes, and some characteristics of the eye environment are some of the factors that cause dry eyes.

There are three main types of dry eyes: when water is scarce, to reduce the formation of tears and dry evaporation.

Although they usually appear for the first time in adults over 40 years of age and are more common in postmenopausal women, symptoms of dry eyes can occur at any age.

Dry eyes can also be caused by local viral, systemic or immune disorders, including Schergen syndrome.

There are artificial tears that relieve the symptoms of various types of dry eyes (evaporation or poor quality tears) for better coverage and wider protection.

Symptoms are usually dry, discomfort in the eyes, redness, sensitivity to light, feeling of debris and blurred vision.
