In 2018, in the Region, including in Kubla, eight cases of the disease were recorded (four in Kubla, three in Bio-Bio and one in Arauco) without registering death cases. At the same time, at the country level, there were 33 cases with seven deaths, which is equivalent to a fatal outcome of 21.1%.
The regional profile of cases shows that 87.8% correspond to men and 12.5% to women with an average age of 32.5 years; the majority, 37.5%, correspond to forestry workers and, in terms of risk, 25% were exposed to rural excursions, 25% to work and 50% to rural residence.
It should be noted that in 2018 they were transfused hyperimmune serum 24 people, and this year six patients were transfused, one was thrown out by an ISP, three were alive and two died. One of the dead corresponds to Kubla.
