According to the wrestling observer Bulletin report (a subscription is required), more detailed information about the updated situation of the NXT UK contract has been revealed. With news coming out of NXT UK talent, contracting at different levels, and that major stars were limited in competition beyond their brand, Dave Melzer reports that the WWE agreement with various UK stocks allows them to “buy and close” promotion if they want .
"Part of the WWE working agreements, originally proposed and agreed, was that WWE would be eligible for the next few years if they wanted to buy companies at an agreed price (at least six figures in at least some cases), and then shut them down so that they no longer compete "with themselves" with the idea that will take place when they work on full schedules in these markets. "
Currently, WWE has a working agreement with PROGRESS Wrestling and the Scottish Insane Championship Wrestling. Two promotions typically used NXT UK top stars, as well as SmackDown superstar Killian Dine. It was previously reported that a list of “non-competitive” promotions was shown, although IMPACT Wrestling was not part of it.
The current NXT stars in the UK, including WWE champion in the United Kingdom, Pete Dunn and Tyler Bate, have been allowed to participate in Fight Destiny Wrestling, although this will not be for live broadcast and for the audience.
