Snow, wind warnings issued for parts of Central B.C.

A strong wind and heavy snow can hit the Central BS. On Friday and Saturday, the Canadian Department of the Environment warns and drivers must be very careful.

Weather Service issued warnings for several regions of the province on Thursday.

It is estimated that between 15 and 25 centimeters of snow can fall on the areas of Caribou and the Peaceful River, as well as on parts of the BS-Alberta border.

Prince George, Williams Lake and Quesnel can see significant snowfalls, as well as key routes, including Yellowhead and Highway 97.

It is also expected that the system will bring a strong wind, which, along with snow, may impair visibility.

It is expected that the weather system will hit BC. Starting on Friday morning, step up all night and blow to Alberta on Saturday.
