The Vancouver police say that so far there is no evidence to support the allegation that the six-year-old girl was lured out of the property of the primary school Seksmith and sexually abused in December.
Police say they have reviewed tips from the public, interviewed staff and students, looked around and watched videos, but cannot verify the original story.
VPD sergeant Jason Robillard said the investigation was ongoing.
“We believe this is an important update that parents, employees, students and the wider community should be aware of,” says Robillard.
"Investigating any allegations affecting personal safety, especially the health and safety of the child, is a priority for the Vancouver police."
