New update of Nintendo Switch system software version 7.0.0 released. However, the patch is surprisingly small, despite the important version number.
The update adds support for Chinese and Korean to the home screen and introduces new custom icons, themed around New Super Mario Bros. U deluxe. In addition to these features, version 7.0.0 simply includes "general improvements in system stability to improve user interaction."
New Super Mario Bros. U is the latest big exclusive release for Switch, so it’s probably not surprising that Nintendo will include content around this game in its system updates. We awarded the platform 7/10 in our review of the New Super Mario Bros. U deluxe.
“Despite its outdated formula, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is still a great new product in the series, with its typically tough platform, as well as accessibility and spare depth, ”we said. “Although it may seem a bit stale for those who have gone around the Mushroom Kingdom too many times before, Deluxe is worth playing, especially if you haven’t been able to play the NSMBU on the Wii U.
