Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 are reliable, if unremarkable updatesand there are some Black Friday deals on them. But anyone looking for a truly modern Samsung smartphone should wait for this. & Nbsp;

Samsung Galaxy S11: everything we know so far

Forbes Gordon Kelly

Thanks to new information from well-known insiders Samsung Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) and Ice Universe, we now know that the Galaxy S11 will radically change its size and get a new design compared to its predecessor. And this is just the beginning. & Nbsp;

Update: 17.11 – The benefits of the Galaxy S11 continue to grow. In addition to the Blass and Ice Universe leaks below, XDA developers have found more evidence of photocentric updates to the Galaxy S11 compared to its predecessors. Samsung Camera’s APK app gap detected a hidden code that refers to the Director view (shooting from multiple cameras at the same time), Night Hyperlapse (apparently Pixel 4 Astrophotographic Competitor) and Single Take Photo (a burst mode designed to shoot a single scene by combining dozens of photos). Is the cherry on top? Evidence of a promising 8K 30fps video recording mode is something the rumored 108MP Galaxy S11 camera could handle.

Blass explains Samsung is making the Galaxy S11 even larger with three new screen sizes: the 6.4-inch Galaxy S11, the 6.7-inch Galaxy S11 + and the 6.9-inch Galaxy S11 5G. This compares to a screen size of 6.1 inches (S10), 6.4 inches (S10 +) and 6.7 inches (S10 5G). Yes, Samsung’s standard S11 will have the same large display as this year’s S10 +, although it warns that Samsung can still choose the more conservative 6.2-inch panel. & nbsp;

Blass also says Samsung will be offering 5G versions of all models, so the Galaxy S11 5G is supposed to need a new name (“Max” seems to be popular). He adds that next year Samsung will only use curved displays, while the flat panel used in the Galaxy S10 Lite will not be repeated. Personally, I prefer flat displays (no distortion of the interface, more durable), but that's just me. & Nbsp;

As for the arrival time, Blass says Samsung can launch the Galaxy S11 in mid-February, but it will certainly happen before the end of the month. & Nbsp;

Are you worried about new screen sizes? Do not be new design on the layout Ice universe “Based on leaked information” shows that the Galaxy S11's front panels will be even thinner, so resizing the phone is likely to be minimal. He also state that the hole punch camera will move to the center of the display, like the Galaxy Note 10, and become smaller. This last point may disappoint some, given that Samsung is hotly inclined to deliver Galaxy S11 camera under the display. & Nbsp;

Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL review: smartphones, stupid decisions

However, this may be the only disappointment of the Galaxy S11, given what else we know about the phone. Title change is potentially innovative camera codenamed “Hubble” due to its extreme scalability. Also have big productivity increase, next generation memory, enlarged fingerprint sensor and real topplaser: much larger batteriesSamsung is also working on revolutionary new battery technology which may or may not do it in. & Nbsp;

So, my suggestion: if you can’t afford yourself a huge discount on Black Friday (the biggest one will be from Kostko and off target – add them to your bookmarks), wait for the Galaxy S11. This will make them look old, fast. & Nbsp;
