Eric Rowan supports the horror icon in Royal Rumble
Eric Rowan, who was on the side of Daniel Bryan, was an unexpected surprise on Sunday at WWE Royal Rumble. A former member of the Wyatt family wore a flannel and a shirt with a mysterious face that could easily be mistaken for Frank Zappa or Ian McShane from Deadwood Glory, but this was nothing but a horror legend Tom Savini.

Savini and his colleague Jason Baker have been working with WWE since 2011, creating costume effects for some wrestlers, including Eric Rowan. All Rowan masks were made by Savini & Baker, and Baker said in an interview with 2017 how useful it is to work with Rowan on some WWE projects:
“We did all the Eric Rowan masks,” Baker told me. “I have not watched the fight for almost 20 years. So when Eric Rowan contacted us, I had to look for him. But as soon as I did, I was very excited. Rowan is such a unique character, and getting the privilege to help add something to it was a dream. Now i'm enjoying [wrestling] again."
“I've already had two promotions with him,” Baker explained to me. "[They were] produced by Andy Vestfold, and Mark Yancy was our DP It was an absolute blast! Eric Rowan has such a presence, and he knows the horror and what he wants to convey to the film. So again, several people are striving for the same goal. ”
“Working with WWE was an absolute honor,” Baker added. “Everything, from their corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, to the wrestlers and commanders, was just kind and surprising in work. They treated me and Tom only with absolute respect and admiration. Tom and I had a great friendship. So whenever [the wrestlers] Coming to Pittsburgh, Tom invites them to the studio to look at the monsters or what we are working on. It's so great to work with Tom, as with wrestlers. They are very passionate about what they want, and we are trying very hard to give them more than they expected. ”
"Whoever needs something, we are ready to accept them."
Savini is also credited with creating some of the Triple H entry details for several WrestleManias, as well as masks for Kalisto:
