Crowd funding attracts 25 thousand dollars to send the victim of the catastrophic crash to Pakistan

The crowdfunding campaign to help the family of a 20-year-old man from Calgary who died on Monday night raised over $ 25,000 in the first six hours.

A friend of Mustafa Ali gathered at the intersection of 36 Street and Sunridge-Way-North-East on Tuesday evening to commemorate the man who died in the accident of one car.

On Monday night, shortly after 10:00 pm, the car drove eastward along the Sunridge-Wei road when it left the road and hit several concrete barriers along the CTrain tracks. The 20-year-old passenger was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries. Friends of the deceased confirmed to CTV that Mustafa Ali was the victim.

According to police, the surviving passengers of the car, two 20-year-old men and a 19-year-old man, were slightly injured. Alcohol and drugs are not considered factors contributing to the accident.

On Tuesday afternoon, a GoFundMe page was created for the Mustafa memorial to raise funds for sending Ali’s remains to his native Pakistan for his memorial. In the first six hours of the campaign, more than 320 people contributed to the cause and received more than $ 25,000.
