Bloomberg Just described in detail the upcoming features that are expected in Apple's next iPhone, iPad and iOS 13, explaining what might happen this year and next.
iPhone with 3D cameras
According to unnamed sources, the following iPhones will have a “more powerful 3-D camera as early as next year, which is supposed to be a plan for deepening efforts on augmented reality.
According to Bloomberg, the rear 3D camera operates over a distance of 15 feet from the iPhone, scanning the room and creating 3D images.
The proposed system will also deploy a long distance laser scanner for better capture depth, while the third camera will also be part of the installation, along with upgraded processors and photography tools that are said to appear in the next versions of the iPhone, say, sources.
Apple’s plans to create a 3D camera system were tied to the iPhone 2019, but this was apparently postponed.
Sony may supply sensors for this new system, sources say, because Apple is in talks with a Japanese company.
IPhone 2019 line – with USB-C?
Apple will launch upgraded models of the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max in 2019, according to sources code-named D42 and D43 for the last two high-end models. They say that the successor of the iPhone XS Max includes three cameras at the back, they say people familiar with this issue.
It is said that the third camera on the iPhone helps to capture a larger field of view and zoom in, as well as shoot more pixels. Apple also plans to update Live Photos, which will increase the duration of the video from 3 to 6 seconds.
Apple is also testing USB-C on this year's iPhone models, as before. They say that the iPhone 2019 models will have an improved processor and a new version of Face ID, but in design they will look the same as the 2018 models. It is argued that more radical changes will occur in 2020, when Apple will release an iPhone with a 5G modem.
Earlier this month, allegedly leaked images from the iPhone camera system with three cameras.
New iPad Pro with 3D camera and updated iPad and iPad mini
As for this rumored laser system of 3D cameras, sources claim that it can debut on the updated iPad Apple Pro, which is said to appear in the spring of 2020.
In addition, sources say the Apple iPad will receive an update this spring with a “roughly 10-inch screen” and faster processor, while retaining its Lightning port. The current screen size is 9.7 inches.
As for the Apple iPad mini, a new version will be released, which, as they say, will be cheaper – the first major update since 2015, they say, are people familiar with this issue.
iOS 13 with dark mode
As for iOS 13, which is expected to debut again at WWDC this year, Bloomberg reports that it will include a long-awaited dark mode, similar to that available in macOS Mojave, while CarPlay will also receive new improvements. ,
iOS 13 will introduce new updates for the iPad, including "a new home screen, the ability to navigate between multiple versions of the same application, such as pages in a web browser, and improvements in file management."
