A man reports a false cardiac arrest, steals a defibrillator in Ontario.



Mississauga, Ont. “Police west of Toronto are investigating after a medical rescue device was stolen from a bus station.”

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at the Transit Terminal in downtown Mississauga, Ontario.

Peel regional police said that the suspect man approached the ticket office and reported that someone in the parking lot was stopped by the heart.

Police report that this person removed an automatic external defibrillator or AED from his office and fled the scene.

He is described as a white man, 25 years old, thin, unshaven physique, in a white cap with a red inscription, a blue backpack, white shoes and a gray coat.

The police asks someone with information to contact them.
