In Bulgaria, the first negative interest rates on deposits appeared. They are intended for business and for deposits in euros with an agreed maturity. In October, the average annual interest rate on them fell to minus 0.02%, according to the BNB. For those in BGN, 0.09% is returned. For households, deposits in BGN and EUR are 0.17 and 0.21%.
The data show that the average interest rate on consumer loans for households in BGN continues to grow. They are released at 8.61%. Mortgage is still cheaper, and the percentage on them fell on average by 3.26%, if in BGN and in euro it is 3.93%, notes in the “24 hours”.
The annual interest rate on consumer loans BGN in October rose to 10.65%. By the same date, BGN mortgages were down to 3.59%.
