The Bulgarian national volleyball team successfully started its home tournament in the League of Nations race. In Varna, the Silvano Prandi guys found it very difficult to beat Australia 3: 2 (20:25, 29:27, 22:25, 25:21, 15:13). We again showed ups and downs in our game, which were not fatal to the kangaroo. An excellent match for the "tricolors" played Todor Skrimov and Tsvetan Sokolov, who returned to the club. This is our second success after the 3: 2 game last week.
The first part was quite equivalent, and everything was decided shortly after the second technical break, when the kangaroo managed to turn things in its favor and take control. There were four quick points for the guests who tangled the Silvano Prandi boys. By the end of the Australian withdrawn their advances and eventually won at 25:20.
Having collected the necessary amount of self-confidence, the Australian team led 8-4 and made the first break in the second game. It was an even game, and Theodor Todorov came off the bench. We returned part of the pass to make 21:22 after a good attack by Tsvetan Sokolov. Australia hit the ball at 24:22, but Todor Skrimov’s ace returned us – 24:24. An extraordinary drama occurred, where success in this part could go for both teams. Even with a little luck, fate finally smiled at our countrymen.
Bulgarian volleyball players quickly pulled out at the beginning of the third part 4: 1 and 8: 5 at the first technical break. Gradually, however, the “tricolors” made a U-turn, and Australia was in the lead from 16:18. Our opponent even reached four games at 20:24. Todor Skrimov reduced to 21:24, but Australia achieved success in the third part to 22:25.
Ours brought the matter to the end in the fourth part. Thanks to this, the people of Silvano Prandi finally demonstrated a good attack in the attack. Only once did the Aussies manage to stop our advance. Rosalyn Penchev was played after he entered the game, and Todor Skrimov achieved almost 80% success. The "Lions" gradually increased their leadership in this game, reaching its greatest dimension at 18:13. Bulgaria came to gameball at 24:20 after the attack on Stockton's outback. Citizens won the 4th place with 25:21.
On the tie-break, our employees significantly improved their service success: Tsvetan Sokolov set real bombs to scared Australians. Ours, however, again demonstrated their old flaws in defense and the lack of a successful counterattack. All this led to 10:12 in favor of the guests. Todor Skrimov took us back to the match after a new direct feed. The Bulgarian blockade worked at the right moment and the result was comparable to 12:12. "Lions" came into the game after the excellent orientation of the network Alexei Grozdanov. And after the next blockade, ours suffered a huge success over their Australian rival.
Tomorrow we join Japan, which is preparing for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo in 2020.
