Petrobras plans to bid in 2019 on two platforms in the Mero area

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (Reuters) – Petrobras plans to open trades on the Mero 3 and Mero 4 platforms in mid-2019, executive director Fernando Borges told reporters on Thursday.

The Mero Mine is located on the Libra block in the pre-salt basin of the Santos River, which will first be supplied in accordance with the production sharing regime in Brazil in 2013.

Platforms 3 and 4 are scheduled to start working beyond the horizon of the current business plan for 2018-2022.

Borges confirmed that the first final platform of the region, Mero 1, already concluded in contracts, should start work in mid-2021, and Mero 2, still under contract, should start production in 2022.
