Jacaré was rescued by the DF military police after he was found swimming in the pool

Residents of the parks sector parks in the federal district were faced with a small alligator swimming in the pool of a house on Wednesday morning. The military police were activated around 9:30 am to save an animal, a jacaretinga species, about 90 centimeters and nine months.

Images released by PMDF show the moment of salvation:

The reptile, which does not appear to have been injured, was transferred to the Ibama Wildlife Center (Cetas). According to Sergeant Chelio Bispo, who participated in this event, he said that the alligator should be under the care of specialists for 40 days.

– Students from the University of Brasilia (UnB) who attend a veterinarian can take care of him and also study it. “He must then be released by nature or sent to the zoo, it’s still not true,” said the bishop.

However, according to the officer, the worker, who was caring for plants in one of the mansions, saw the animal plunge into the pool. Then the man warned the resident. She told PM at the Environmental Battalion that she heard a noise at night, but it didn’t matter. Thus, the bishop said that he believed that the reptile had been around the house since Tuesday.

“We immobilize the animal, small and medium, with no visible signs of injury, and put it in a box to deliver to Cetas,” said the sergeant.
