Permanent member of the BNP committee Nazrul Islam Khan and BNP chairman Khaled Zia do not see any problems in the nomination of paddy husk for the party led by the leader of the Jamaat-i-Islami in the war against the Liberation War.
Responding to a question at a press conference on Thursday, the party said: "I assure you that we will not give any pistachio symbol to any war criminal."
In their speech, the journalists asked: “What will the BNP do in the case of candidates who have rejected an objection to candidates who have been given permission to choose the symbol of the sheikh of rice?”
In response, Nazrul Islam Khan said: “We said that we would not give any war crimes to our symbol. If there are no war crimes, what is the problem of providing it? There are freedom fighters in Jamaat.
When the liberation movement in Bangladesh is in its final stage, the Jamaat-e-Islami opposes various demands, including 11 posts. During the Liberation War, the Jamaat and its student organization, Islam Chattra Sangha, formed various groups called Razakar, Al-Badr, Alasham to help the army of the Pakistani army.
At the time, they were causing war crimes, such as massacres, rapes, and robberies throughout the country. These questions have arisen in various war crimes sentences.
Then Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Gholam Azam received 90 years in prison and was sentenced to death for conspiracy, planning, provocation, murder and cooperation in the war against humanity. In addition, the execution of five top party leaders for war crimes was carried out.
The ruling leaders of the Awami League accuse the BNP of rehabilitating Jamaat in an independent Bangladesh. After winning the 2001 elections, the BNP formed a government with the Jamaat. In the cabinet of the government are two leaders of military actions in Jamaat.
The leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami were given a “crying” position against the millions of martyrs who passed the national flag to the war in a war crimes court verdict. BNP called on the opposition to leave the party, but the team did not respond to it.
“Jamaat-i-Islami” has already lost registration in a court order, because it cannot fulfill the conditions of the election commission. Their marker scales were omitted from the list of characters.
Despite the lack of registration, there are opportunities to choose leaders Jamaat in two ways. They can present candidates as independent candidates, but instead of leaving their identity, they can directly choose candidates for other candidates.
The leaders of “Jamaat” submitted documents for the nomination for certification of rice sheets at least 24 places before the last day of submission of documents on the nomination of candidates. More than ten places were presented in the documents of candidates for the presidency of Jamaat as independent.
Among them, Shamim Saedi, son of Delvar Hossein Sayedi, was sentenced to death for the murder of war criminals Salauddin Quadder Chowdhury, brother Giyasuddin Quadder Chowdhury and Piroupur-1, imprisoned for his death in Chittagong-6 (Raozan), was appointed as Shirazir.
In this election, the BNP left the place of its ally Jatietabadi and said that the 20-party coordinator of the alliance Nazrul Islam Khan said: “No one can leave or no one can hold. The reason is that we initially moved forward. Those who registered in our 20 groups gave their appointment. We sent letters to those who did not register.
“We gave more than one candidate in one place. Before leaving, we will highlight the rice symbol for each candidate for each place. When we pick out the characters, I will tell you how many places I took or left.
Answering the question about the number of candidates who submitted documents for the nomination of BNP candidates, Nazrul said: “It would have to be calculated. Some days we are a little tired. We can calculate the bill. But I gave several candidates in many places at the same place. ”
At the press conference at the BNP headquarters in Nai Paltana, BNP senior secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, central leader Abdus Salam Azad, Belal Ahmed, Saiful Islam Patu, AKM Abul Kalam Azad were present.
