The Chinese company NetEase recently announced that it has acquired a minority stake in French studio Quantic Dream.
Quantic Dream is responsible for games such as Omikron: The Nomad Soul (Sega Dreamcast, PC), Fahrenheit (PC, PS2, PS4 and Xbox), as well as a Playstation 3 or 4 exclusive Heavy Rain tracks, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become by man.
With this investment, you want to be ready for the next generation of games.
According to the online polygon portal, Ethan Wang, vice president of NetEase, said:
“By focusing on our own developments, we are constantly looking for partners that will help us develop and create the next generation games. The interactive storytelling experience and valuable Quantic Dream experience gained over the past two decades is exactly what we were looking for. We look forward to working with Quantic Dream and hope to create incredible experiences for players around the world. ”

We want Quantic Dream to play a key role in this exciting future, and we want NetEase to be a strategic partner on our side so that we can expand our creative vision and grow our business. NetEase wants to make Quantic Dream available to a wider audience. It will be in the future again for non-Sony platforms like these. Xbox One or PC are being developed.
