Rafa Nadal is engaged to Mary is Pussy Perello after 14 years

This is the news that will break the hearts of its countless fans.

After just a few days after his devastating defeat in the Australian Open final, it became known that tennis champion Rafael Nadal had finally asked his old friend Siska Perello a question.

The couple is engaged after 14 years of courtship and plans to tie a knot on the island of Mallorca, where the Spanish tennis player was born, later this year.

Last weekend, Perello was in the stands at Melbourne in the Rod Laver arena, when Noval Djokovic defeated sets in a row.

According to Hi! Nadal Magazine, 32, suggested Perello last May during a romantic trip to Rome, but publishes news just now.

Perello, an employee of the insurance company, is a bit of a riddle on the tennis track, but he steadily supported the 17-time grand slam champion during his rapid rise to the top.

She joined Nadal this year at the Australian Open only for the second time since they started dating in 2005, and was spotted on the court for each match.

She rarely communicates with the media and, despite meeting with one of the best athletes in the world, she avoids attention.

In one of her few interviews, Perello said that she prefers not to attend most of Nadal's tennis matches in an attempt to preserve their relationship.

She added that she was concerned that she would break the focus of her partner’s attention if she appeared at all events.

In an interview with The Telegraph in 2011, Perelloa explained: “He needs his place when he participates in competitions, and I just get tired of thinking that I hang around and wait for his needs all day.

“It would choke me. And then he will have to worry about me … No. If I followed him everywhere, I think there is a risk that we can stop getting along.

Nadal does not hide that he wants to have children, saying that he is a “family guy” and is looking forward to his own brood in the near future.
