Governor Maria Eugenia Vidal He announced this afternoon that he would extend the same conditions that had been agreed with the two state associations, UPCN and FEGEPPBA, with the teacher unions, although today they rejected the proposal.
The decision does not imply the closure of parity, as the governor has pledged to emphasize. “We decided that all civil servants receive a premium of 7,000 pesos in December, which is in addition to the increase we agreed on throughout the year,” he said.
“I am talking about nurses, policemen, teaching assistants, civil defense workers, thousands of people who do not appear in the newspapers every day,” he continued.
Vidal mentioned talks with the teaching sector and noted that during the year there were “20 meetings”, despite the fact that he said: “We will not give up talking.”
“Perhaps it should have closed the agreement with the decree, but we decided to continue the conversation,” he said and announced that he had decided that “all teachers should receive a bonus of 7,000 pesos in December.”
