But last week he caused a frenzy in the sky when he was discovered on Friday by the Asteroid telescope (ATLAS) in Haleakala, Hawaii.

The facility was later analyzed by experts from the Northolt Branch observatories in London, who were able to rate it as a likely ETBO.

Astronomers called the object A10bMLz and said that it was “extremely light”, but also had a length of several meters.

In their post on Facebook, the Northolt Branch Observatory explained: “This suggests that this is the so-called“ empty object for the garbage bag. ”

Astronomers were perplexed, having noticed that the object rotates in the opposite direction than it should.

Scientists have stated that the A10bMLz is moving in a “retrograde” way, and not in a “progressive” way from west to east.

The Northolt Branch Observatory added: “The orbit is very elliptical, with a perigee of just 600 km above the Earth’s surface and an apogee 1.4 times further than the moon.”

This huge orbit – the first of its kind for ETBO – makes it difficult to identify the origin of an object.

As a result of thousands of space missions, Empty Trash Bag Objects make up many of the 170 million estimated parts of garbage that orbit the Earth.

Often light, but large objects can be exposed to solar radiation and push in different directions.

They tend to rotate relatively close to the Earth.

But A10bMLz is unique in that the ETBO with such a large orbit has never been seen.

At a distance from the Earth, the object is 1.4 times further from the Moon.

The project Pluto, which makes the software of the planetarium, said: “At present, we have no idea about the origin of this object.

"This is mainly because its previous path is really unclear.

"Like an empty trash bag blowing along the street, it can zigzag in an unpredictable way."

The pressure of solar radiation is enough to drive away a light object in strange directions.

It may even burn in the atmosphere of the Earth in a matter of months, before the tombs can figure out where they came from, they added the observatory of the Northolta branch.
