Cape Town – The Waratahs are reportedly closing a deal to provide South African blocking services Le roux roets,

The 23-year-old who played in France for Racing 92 between 2016 and 2017 has been at Pumas since the beginning of this year and has played in the 2018 Currie Cup.

But, according to Rugby.com.au, Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson says he is close to securing a relocation to Sydney for Rothes.

Rotes, who is 2.00 meters tall and weighs about 135 kg, has not yet completed the deal with Waratahs, but the report says that there was a contact.

Australian franchises in Super Rugby are set to carefully manage their Wallabies players in 2019, when it was the year of the World Cup, and therefore Gibson is believed to be looking for reinforcements from outside the country.

“We are interested in filling this place, this lock, and we are looking for this blocking profile, where we want to add a little size for us,” said Gibson.

"We believe that we have found this person and will announce it soon."
