SABC mutes the daily Real Talk show

SABC officially disabled popular talk shows. Serious talk on SABC3.

After several months of speculation, the public broadcaster confirmed yesterday in a statement that the show, which will be aired for the first time in July 2016, will not return to the fifth season.

Repeated episodes of the fourth season are currently airing from Monday to Friday at 18:00. The show is expected to air its latest episode in early March.

“The decision was made in accordance with the new direction that the channel will take,” said spokesman Neo Momodou.

"SABC will tell you which program will occupy this slot in due time."

The heavy demise of the SABC3 show began in June, when host Anela Mdoda stopped doing "personal projects and career prospects."

A radio and television veteran, Azania Mozak, became the master.

The show, led by Mdody, was recognized as the best talk show for the South African Cinema and Television Award 2017 (Safta).

Among some of his memorable moments are the scandalous meeting with the minister Batkhbile Dlamini, which was overshadowed by reports that the Department of Social Development paid 500,000 rubles for Dlamini’s participation in the show.
