One of the most dangerous jobs right now in the United States Military is guarding the borders of Iraq. Your life expectancy if you do not stay ‘heads up’ is very low. It requires super human concentration and intuition, none of which is very easy when the weather is not cooperating, either too hot, too cold or dust storms. The soldier must be very alert at all times, follow protocol and you just never know when someone is out to do you in. Each day the soldiers live in fear that their number could be up in an instant, not knowing if it will happen to them, a friend of theirs or if today is that day.

I propose a new concept using the up and coming future advances in Holographic Technologies, which are getting closer to becoming reality we may soon be able to design a Holographic Soldier to stand at the check point so if someone tries to run him over, they can try all they want as you cannot kill a ghost or a mirage which is not there at all.

I propose we put holographic projectors in the Humvees to display the 3D or 4D image of the Soldier in Virtual Reality, just like what Microsoft is planning with the next generation of our 360 X-Box Video Games in our living rooms.

The system will run off the Humvee’s extra alternator for juice and will not need the power grid, the Humvee will can drive up point it away from the road, park the vehicle, turn it on and the Border Patrol Soldier will do its job, along with sensors and cameras without risking his life. If there is a problem the Soldiers away from the area will open fire from a short distance away out of any blast range in case there is a car bomb. Think on this.

The United States Soldiers have a new useful tool in the battles space, one which allows them extended battlespace situational awareness. A bird’s eye view via robotic unmanned aerial vehicle or UAV, which are launched by hand and fly around like a little remote control model aircraft taking pictures of the ground below and the enemy too. They are almost impossible to shoot down and many can fly for hours protecting our troops.

I propose a new model of the UAV. A micro-air vehicle commonly called an MAV, which can be deployed faster, quicker and reach it surveillance area immediately and efficiently. How about a UAV, which is the size of a hand thrown UAV but the wing is folded along the fuselage while being launched and is shot into the air. The forward momentum keeps its wing from clicking at a 90-degree angle until it slows down.

The Wing is attached to the fuselage with a center bolt and is aligned with the fuselage for firing into the air. It is shot out of a tank almost straight up as it arches slow down and return to earth the relative wind slows down and the spring loaded wing pops into place and then it has altitude, and can glide trickle charging the battery and using solar to keep the motor going.

Instant altitude and distance at the speed of a round, then use the same guidance system for the mortar rounds we now have to steer it to a single mission target and home in on enemy? Perhaps the United Nations needs to invest in artificially intelligent androids and robotic assistance to do work in places like Africa where disease, malnutrition and virus outbreaks are common. Too often people from first world countries go to Africa to help starving children, only to find out that their immune system is not ready to take on the African life. If we can fulfill part of the U.N.’s mission in Third World nations using robotic assistance, then we will prevent the spread of disease to other regions of the world, while still helping those in need.

Another plus two artificially intelligent robotic androids working in U.N. capacity is that they will not need food or water which may be scarce. This means they will not be fighting for human sustenance at a time when they are there to help humans ration what little there already is. Perhaps the robotic assistant androids with artificial intelligence will not be seen as a competitive life form, that is to say another human with the mouth to feed, but rather as something that is there to help them.

With major pandemic outbreaks, lack of water and food such artificially intelligent robotic systems making a lot of sense and they could potentially save limited resources and lots of money. In the future virtual reality may be so real that it will be indistinguishable from actual real-life. In fact as you are immersed in the virtual reality dream, your mind will be tricked into believing that you are actually in the real world scenario and that you really live in the time period and setting that the virtual reality dream has set up.

Imagine living in a past period in a virtual reality dream that you chose very similarly to pressing the buttons on a jukebox. Insert your credit card, put on a special hat on and a hood would come over you like a simulator in aviation. Your brain would be tricked into believing you are actually there and all of your senses would be engaged and immersed fully in the virtual reality dream.

Perhaps you would go to a Shakespeare play and sit in the peanut gallery and watch. You would believe that you were actually there and your memory would be blocked as to who you really are. I believe that this is the future of virtual reality and it may be so powerful with such strong visions that people will actually enjoy it to the point that it becomes a drug and or an addiction to life itself. As those people who wish to escape their present day life and stress will thoroughly enjoy it, even more than real-life. Consider all this in 2006.

Some water filtering systems run the fluid thru the systems more than once. For instance at Starbucks, which is a very simple application they actually run the water through the Reverse Osmosis System nine times. This makes the water ultra pure and you can definitely taste the difference in the coffee, most people love it, a few do not, nevertheless it means their product is always consistent no matter what the local water tastes like. Now then what if the water filtration system could do this the first time? If the pipes are small and the membranes have holes in them and the light is in the center with holes along the length of the membrane that will allow enough light to assist in the process. This may not be cost affect for a small operation, but it could be very good for a larger one. Consider all this in 2006.

One of the hardest questions presented to those who believe time travel is possible is; Where is Everybody? Indeed this makes for a pretty hard argument to overcome doesn’t it? Recently in an online think tank a fellow thinker named Marv re-introduced the question to the group as he stated regarding his very astute comment of asking for proof;

“If it ever became possible, it would have already happened!”

And thus where is everybody? Again this is a pretty tough problem to over come, yet there are theories that for time travel one could not go back in time before the device of time travel was created, which is an interesting take and theory on the subject. Of course then there are anomalies such as the John Titer story and such. Quite a few of them, where people say they are from the future. Although many are chocked off to publicity stunts. And the conspiracy theories, which go along with that which say that when a time traveler arrives they are wisked away to a secret government installation and of course this sure makes for a lot of book deals and late night radio talk shows doesn’t it?

Perhaps people traveling thru time is a difficult maneuver; however thought thru time and now quantum computing is indeed showing some interesting possibility with entangled pairs or shared events thru time. So, perhaps time travel is possible and is constantly going on with or without our knowledge due to our perspective of the present and time. Perhaps time does not exist at all and all time is one, but our minds do not register it as such?

But Marv presses on with his fellow thinkers and this next statement he makes is interesting indeed:

“But we dream, don’t we.”

As who is to say that we are not dreaming thru time and our minds when dreaming are not bound in the way they are in the waking hours when bombarded and one with all the other vibrational energy emitted from our realm. Although science is sure to figure that out, if indeed they have not already. Well, got to go; all out of time. But do consider this in 2006.
