Oh yup, it’s younger brother the P-90. My first electrical was a Tiesco Del Ray I got for Xmas in 1967. I did get a Mattel Tiger guitar that was made from plastic and made use of a contact type pick-up. My bro and I each got one that Christmas so oftentimes we might use one of the pick-up’s as a vocal mic. I’ve been practicing how to try this or that for years but the ‘whys’ can set the creative mind to take off, so no more ‘can’t get no satisfaction….’ Since the infinite is to deep for me, lets deal with man made music. I have come to the realization that all man made musical instruments need to be in the range of the human voice, a little lower or higher that is O.K. If not, they are going to become outmoded. The human voice is a wonderful instrument, the king and queen of all! The well trained voice is astounding with its capability to achieve its wide selection of notes, like a diamond with its many sides. Take a look at it on Youtube. My point again is the final supremacy of the human voice. Show me any instrumentalist, as good as he might be that will match the drawing power of an Andrea Bucelli or your favourite who if she or he is real good can fill a stadium! So the final analysis is I love to sing and have Tommy Emmanuel be my accompanist, whaoo! That’d be overwhelming! The human voice has another enormous advantage. The power of the spoken word.
A great Speaker, not to mention a great frontman has a potent tool at his disposal. It can get you emotionally.
Listen again to the late Harry Chapin sing his wife’s composition ‘cats in the cradle’ or Roy Clarke’s ‘Yesterday when I was young’ These examples of fave potent songs aren’t sung quite often as the frontman has a tough time emotionally singing it. If you’re not influenced you’ve got to fudge it, I guarantee it! Well I have enjoyed this, however it time to begin training the king.
