Guess Acquires Eyewear Firm Instead of Just Licensing Name
Guess Eyeglasses
In the year 1989, Guess was a brand already celebrated for design. The American company promptly became the pioneer of the designer jean trend that took place in the years before. With its distinctive three zipper fashion of blue jean, Guess was the introductory brand to advertise designer jeans. Briefly thereafter the other apparel labels followed suit. After that, like many brands do after receiving tremendous success, Guess branched out into different fashion-based ventures. In 1984, the label once again made waves in the fashion sector after premiering their collection of designer watches. The watches, like the jeans before them, were wildly popular. As time went on, Guess found themselves diving further into other merchandising opportunities by creating several distinct collections of accessories, such as belts, hats, and now designer Guess Eyeglasses.
Morocco evokes a sense of trendy elegance of Europe. This is likened to an afternoon spent on a yacht in the Riviera, sipping champagne. Concurrently, California has a laid back attraction, that is all-American in its delivery. An unbuttoned and not-so-put-together look gives the vibe of an afternoon spent catching waves flowing seamlessly into an evening sitting around a bonfire. By taking both of these distinct elements, Guess is able to create eyewear like no other manufacturer in the world. Guess brand style is known as both avant garde and simply chic. The Guess brand versatile reputation stems from the mixture of the founders homeland of Morocco and their adopted home state of California. The ease and tranquility of the water aside, both of these lands couldn’t be and more different than the other.
