Dr. John Connolly and his family gave to charity the family’s 90-hectare shoreline property in Miscou Island. The recipient of the land, the Natural Conservancy of Canada, vows that the land will be used as a protected habitat for piping plovers and other migratory birds.

The Avery family of Round Rock, Texas, gave the Seton Williamson Foundation $1 million to help the foundation’s proposed construction of the Seton Williamson Medical Center.
