Too Many Eggs in One Basket
We all love playing deep stacks. When you have more at the online poker table than most people, you are often getting great implied odds on any hand, and riding our your winnings can stretch a modest victory into a massive night of cashing out.
Sometimes, though, a online poker player will find himself having accrued so many chips that to stay at the table is ludicrous. Even if he or she is comfortable in proceeding with 4 or 5 times what he bought in with, or more, you have to weigh your stack against the table, and what you stand to gain. If you are the only person with a massive stack, and everyone else is trying to push their little ones into you to double up, what are you really gaining by sticking around?
There comes a time in any session where you must cash out. If the stakes reach a level where you have too much of your money in at once in relation to your bankroll, or if you aren’t getting laid with the proper reward for your risk, it may be time to close up shop, or at least switch to a game where there is more to offer. Remember this when you play poker online.
