Ever since the inception of the company in 2003 by chief executive officer Naveen Jain, Intelius has incorporated the practice of philanthropy to its core principles. It has contributed to various non-profit aid groups with aims to address the needs of the youth as well as the whole community. It has supported sectors in education, health care, housing and employment.
In 2008, Intelius Inc. generously donated well over $200,000 to more than a dozen national and local aid organizations. Two of the many groups that have profited from the donations include the Seattle Children’s Hospital and Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue.
The Boys and Girls Club is an organization that aims to support the youth, especially the less fortunate, to achieve their full capabilities as creative, compassionate and trustworthy individuals. To reach such a mission, the Club gives programs while providing these young people of secure, fun and encouraging surroundings. These programs are: The Health and Life Skills program, which deals with knowledge in monetary matters, cooking lessons and conflict resolution; and The Education and Career Development, which involves homework support, literacy activities and technology introduction. The latter also proffers programs associated with the arts, fitness, and recreation as well as sports.
The Seattle Children’s Hospital, founded in 1907, offers excellent care to its patients by means of high-tech facilities. The medical institution offers a 24/7 emergency care and surgery center. Furthermore, it provides pioneering treatment in 54 pediatric areas of expertise.
Aside from the monetary support that Intellius has contributed, the company also encourages its 195 workers to engage in volunteer work to selected humanitarian groups.
