Death of the search engine? - Arelis finds a new home

It was only a matter of time before an effective tactic was developed to gain widespread competitive advantage from the increasing reliance placed upon links and link text by the major search engines.

Simplicity itself, the technique involves using a version of arelis ( http://www.arelis.org/ ) in a radically new and different way.

The technique currently sweeping the market has gained proven competitor advantage and with the utlilization of existing technology in a clever and unique way, takes only minutes to perform. The danger lies in that its use may become so widespread that websites will no longer be obtaining a tactical advantage, they will require its use to exist in the world of free search engine traffic.

Arelis allows users to download pages of links, categorise these links, automatically produce link pages based upon them and provide webmasters with the contact address for each site on the link page.

This combination of features allows webmasters to download pages from link exchanges sites. The sites contained on these pages have already indicated their willingness to trade links by joining these link exchange sites.

Arelis automatically obtains link text and can easily be formatted to incorporate the look and feel of the site in question. Thus, in a few simple actions link pages are complete for the webmaster’s site.

The webmaster then uses the templates built into the system to mail the webmasters of the other sites. The mail is typically personalised to incorporate the webmaster name and the sites which are proposed to link. Again, the system inputs these details into the draft mail for you.

The mails are then sent. Some webmasters have reported huge increases in their acceptance rate within a week. Those sites that accept will thus have a reciprocal link in place without any further work required. The process takes minutes for potentially hundreds of reciprocal links and can be used time and again on the same or different sites.

In this way the wise webmasters are generating hundreds of reciprocal links within minutes.

Is the age of links dead? Not yet, the age of the reciprocal link delivering competitive advantage is still here, but soon it will be an essential weapon just to exist.

A free download version and detailed reciew of Arelis and other tools are available at Arelis

If I Were a Rich (Wo)Man

If you are not happy, you need to get that fixed. If you are not rich, you are not happy. Seems like a bold statement to make, doesn’t it? How many millions of people are doing a job that they just hate? My guess is that that number is probably too high to count and too scary to even consider. How often do you dread Monday because you believe not only is this an awful day in itself, but also that you will have four more beyond Monday that you will also have to face. I know how you feel; I was like that for a very long time. I don’t want to go back? Do you want to really stay there?

If you took longer than five seconds to answer that question, then you are not really ready to do what it takes to make the difference in your life. When you are so ready the question will barely be out but you will already be answering it with a resounding “No, I don’t want to stay here”. You will be open to hear the whisper of change and feel the faster beating of a joyful heart. You will be willing to do what others won’t, search for new answers, and become relentless in your desire to find the truth that is within yourself. You will find you are ready to become a Rich (Wo)Man.

When talking about being a rich person, that may or may not apply to having lots of money. The real richness we are talking about is enjoying what you do. It is possible, very possible! You just have to look to find the answers. You have to spend time doing something you may not be comfortable with at first. That is deciding there is something else besides what you have always done and you are willing to find out what that is and move towards it. The initial thing you will have to do is decide what that something is that you have always wanted to do, which may require you to do a five minute thought race test. What this is, is finding a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed, have a pen and paper in hand (or a computer if you are so inclined) and for five minutes do nothing but write. Do NOT think. Just begin writing and do not stop and put down everything you have ever thought that you would like to do. I mean everything. Do not attempt to reason it out or ask the way that you can make this possible. Just Write! You may be wonderfully surprised at what comes out of this because your mind has been holding on to ideas sometimes for a very long time waiting for you to take the initiative to bring it to the surface. No idea is right or wrong and nothing is impossible. This list will not be all encompassing and you may add to it often even once you are past the five minute test. The idea is to find the dreamer/ the knower within so that you can begin to create your riches by living the life that you have wanted.
Once you have these ideas you will probably have to do some research. This research may be as simply as imagining in your mind what it would look like and feel like if you were doing what you really wanted to do in life. It may be going online or to the library and finding out more about what you are wanting to do. Sometimes just talking with someone or hiring a coach that can guide you through this process will help surface the things that you need to start the steps to getting to the new life path that will help you find the joy, peace and happiness that will make you a rich (Wo)Man. Any of the research you do will be bringing a bright beacon of light to your discovery of yourself and that happiness that can be a very big part of your life.

Being rich means never having to worry. Okay maybe never is too strong. But even as you begin your research you are going to find that you are feeling a lightening of the heart because you now know that there is hope for a brighter tomorrow. You are starting the discovery that will allow you to find and keep the things in your life that resonate with you. As you move from the research stage to actually starting the process of doing that which is significant to you, you will start to feel the richness that will become a permanent part of your future.

The surprising part of all this, is so often when you start doing what you have always wanted or what you have always been good at, you will find the money riches often follow too. People will consciously and unconsciously start to support you in what you are doing. They will find ways to help you because people really do want people to be happy in their lives. People will want what you have. This is richness in itself. And that can lead to the financial monies that you wish to attain. It is a powerful force that gives you many wonderful things that you have not even thought of yet. Embrace it and enjoy it. It is a part of being rich.

It is in your corner now. You know that it is available because it no longer sits in the wanting of your mind. You have the choice! Being happy, enjoying what you do, loving the way your life is going, that is all part of being rich. Don’t stay stuck. Don’t wait until the right time because that time will never come. Leave the if only behind you and step up to the now, the present and say, “I am a rich Woman and here is why…”.

Work Less, Accomplish More and Enjoy It Fully by Letting Go

Part I: Letting Go

What if there was a way or ways to take the work out of work, out of relationships, out of life itself, while having more of what you want in all areas of your life? Imagine for a moment that you have simply let go of struggle, intense effort or hard work, and have what you really want in your life with greater ease than you ever imagined. You might find that difficult to imagine, or wonder what planet I live on where such a thing is possible. “Letting go” is the operative idea here.

Let’s take a look at those two words, “letting go,” for a moment. Letting go simply means giving up attempts to control or force experience or outcomes. To appreciate letting go, it is useful to experience its opposite. Clench both of your fists very tightly and hold them that way for a few moments. Feel the tension that spreads out from your hands, up through your arms and into your body, into your head so that even your brain feels tight. Have you ever felt that way when you were intensely working, maybe struggling to make a deadline or complete your “to do” list for the day, or make some person listen to you or get that new client that you want?

Now simply open your hands, palms up and let them relax. You might notice the tension created by your tight fists simply melt away, and your body and mind relax. Now you are in a state of receptivity, of allowing. Letting go allows things to come your way, allows what you really want to happen. What comes may be in the form of ideas, people, places or things. As long as you are holding on tightly, you’ll spend a great deal of time trying to make things happen that usually don’t, or if they do, there is no joy and little, if any, real satisfaction and fulfillment.

There is a story about catching monkeys in India that highlights the ills of holding on. When monkey hunters go out to catch monkeys, they use coconuts and the psychology of holding on. First they cut a hole in one end of a coconut, just large enough for a monkey’s hand to go through, and place a banana in the coconut. They then drill holes through the “eyes” of the coconut, attach a wire through the holes and sit behind a tree with the other end of the wire in their hands and wait for a monkey. Sure enough, a monkey always comes, delighted to find a ripe, juicy banana just waiting for the taking. The monkey thrusts its hand into the coconut and grabs the banana. There’s only one problem, and a pretty big one? When the monkey’s hand is tight in a fist around the banana, it is now too big to pull back through the hole. The monkey tries and tries but no matter how hard it tries, it cannot get its hand out of the coconut with the banana. There is a really simple solution which you might have already noticed - letting go of the banana. But the monkey never does that and as a result it is captured. The only thing standing between the monkey and freedom is “letting go.”

What are you holding on to that is standing between you and your freedom? We can hold on to people or things we love as well as those that we do not. Holding on is a form of resistance. Sometimes holding on can squeeze the life out of something very beautiful. Holding on is generally based in fear. You can rest assured that anything that is naturally yours will still be after you release your hold on it. In fact, it may be really yours for the first time since it will be yours in freedom. Letting go allows the truth to emerge, and the best course to follow.

Abraham, one of my favorite teachers, said last week that not a single action that is not an action of joy comes to any good. An action that is taken in a “holding on” frame of mind is not an action of joy but of fear. The reverse of that is also true - actions done with joy are auspicious actions, boding well for good things to come.

Letting go allows you greater access to your natural brilliance and passions, to the deepest truths of who you are and to what you “really” want.

Remember, you are a natural! You are brilliant! You are magnificent! Simply by being you. Won’t you let your light shine?

Tips:

1. Write down the things you are holding on to in your life.

2. Now look at your list and simply open your hands.

3. Practice opening your hands many times throughout the day, especially when you are feeling tight or tense.

4. Check in with yourself before taking action. Ask yourself, “Am I taking this action in joy, or in fear?” If in joy, enjoy! If in fear, stop for a few moments and open your hands before proceeding.

Biggest Budget Blunders

Does your budget never seem to balance the way it should? Are you constantly digging into the savings to make ends meet?

If you find that your budget isn’t doing the job, then it’s time to take a good look at essential components you might be missing or you have not allowed sufficiently for.

Some of the biggest budget blunders are . . . . . .

1. Failure to plan for inevitable expenses

We all have irregular expenses that we naively refer to as “unexpected.” Come on, is that flat tire really unexpected? Don’t you secretly know that these things happen? Have you ever owned a car that did not need repairs or maintenance? If you have, you probably didn’t own it long enough. The solution; Start counting on the car breaking down instead of hoping it doesn’t!

The car isn’t the only area we slight in the budget. Do you find yourself hoping and praying that the hot water heater, washer, dryer, or some other major appliance doesn’t need to be repaired or, worse yet, replaced.

Home maintenance is always a factor in our finances. Even if you rent, you probably have some home related expenses waiting to creep up on you.

These are just a couple examples of variable expenses that we often overlook.

When you consider the following other categories that could be included in this list, you can see the serious consequences this oversight can have on your budget. . .

  • Property, Auto, Health and Life Insurance if not paid on a monthly schedule.

    Even if you do pay monthly, you should try to save for a lump payment if at all possible. Most companies charge up to a $3 fee for monthly payment options. It doesn’t sound like a lot but, over a years time it’s $36 you won’t be investing in their cause. I say, it’s always best to invest in yourself. Don’t you agree? Put the $36 in your savings!

  • Taxes - Property, Federal, and State - If you know you will have to pay Uncle Sam, prepare for it. If you value your home or other property investment, prepare for the costs. Don’t scramble at the last minute to come up with enough to pay your obligations. It’s likely other areas of your budget will suffer greatly, since these expenses have a high priority.
  • Clothing - Now, I can wear a piece of clothing ’til you can see through the threads. I work at home, so I only have a few choice pieces for special occasions. I’m a no frills kind of gal. But, I have four kids. Do I expect them to stop growing or somehow not care how they look to their peers? Of course not! But, I’m working on it. Just kidding! I know that they will need more clothes, more shoes, more accessories….etc., etc., etc., etc…..

    I use every resource available to me to cut down the clothing budget, I know I must account for this expense. It will arise, whether I am prepared or not!

  • School Supplies - This is another one you just can’t omit if you have kids. You can, however, use some clever money saving techniques and multiple resources to keep this expense to a minimum.
  • Pet Care - If you have a pet, you most likely have expenses that come with this beloved family member. Vaccinations, flea control, veterinarian, and food are just a few that come to mind. Again, minimize the costs by using all your resources.

    Tip: My local county animal shelter gives rabies vaccines for $5. Good for three years if regularly vaccinated. Does yours?

  • Gifts - If your friends, family, and kids don’t care if they don’t get gifts from you, if you’ve declared war on the holidays, or have a convenient hiding place when these occasions take place, then you can skip this one!

    I’m guessing most of you are including this one. It’s inevitable. My best advice is to set strict limits and be a smart shopper. Seek out the bargains and buy when it’s a deal, even if it’s months ahead of time.

  • Medical - Unless you’re lucky enough, or not lucky (depending on how you look at it), to qualify for medical assistance, you undoubtedly have medical expenses over and above the cost of your health insurance; Co-pays for doctors and medicines, over-the-counter medications, dental and eye care expenses. Nope, can’t omit it, have to include it. Sorry, it’s a must have!
  • Vacation - If you have the income, include this one to make planning less stressful. Get inventive if you don’t have enough income. You can still have a vacation with limited, or no, travel expenses.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. No Emergency Fund…
. . .or misconceptions about what warrants an emergency. An emergency is this case should be limited to an unexpected occurrence. No, if you’ve been listening, having to replace the water pump on your car is not an emergency. A real emergency might include; loss of income, severe illness, or death in the family.
Although we all hope such occurrences never happen to us, sometimes we aren’t lucky enough to escape these unfortunate events in life.
You should try to set aside a specific amount, no matter how little, each month in an emergency fund to eventually equal at least three to six months of your current income.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

3. Living Above Your Means.

This is simply spending more than you earn. Unfortunately, this is a direct consequence of budget blunders #1 and #2. When funds are not set aside for variable expenses and emergencies, you will inevitably turn to plastic money (credit cards) to bail out. Spending more than you earn is a sure sign that you’re headed for trouble. When you spend future earnings it’s like “counting your chickens before the eggs hatch.” The long term consequences are usually devastating. It’s likely you’ll end up in deep debt and eventually have no where to turn except counseling or bankruptcy. Don’t let it get that far. Take control of your money. Now!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you’ve been making these budget blunders, you’re probably exhausted just considering all the work you have to do on your budget. I’m exhausted just writing about it. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll be on the path to a really successful budget.
Add up all your variable expenses and divide by twelve to come up with a monthly amount that you should be setting aside for this expense. Keep these funds separate from your monthly bill fund to avoid dipping into it accidentally.
Start with 5-10% of your income to start a savings, or apply to an existing savings, each month for your emergency fund.
Make sure your expenses are within your income. If not, start reviewing, eliminating, and reducing those expenses to fit into your income limits.
A good budget is like a good friend. It helps keep you strong and steady.
The ONLY Correct Way to Start an Internet Business!
The MOST Common Online Business Startup Question
On a daily basis, I read, here, or discuss with someone, “why it is so difficult for a new online business to be successful.”
Some state, “I’m interested in starting my own Internet business but unsure what direction to go in.” And, the most puzzled of all, are experienced business persons attempting to take their existing successful business online, only to have it go nowhere. They ask, “So what resources would be able to help me make this decision?”
This is an easy question with a complex multifaceted answer. Most people want to remove the “Sinking Boat Effect” from their life. Imagine being in a small rowboat that is slowly sinking, and gradually filling up just a little faster than you can bail the water out. You see the “handwriting on the wall.” You realize you may stay afloat until help arrives. You can see help off in the distance slowly rowing out to you, but you’re not sure if you can stay afloat long enough to survive, and you’re not too happy about swimming in the water with the circling sharks.
In other words, you need to learn how to remove the “overwhelming” and helpless effect a person faces when trying to start a new online business. You work intensely for awhile, the obstacles seem to mount up, then the question of “Why isn’t it working?’ comes up; then the,”What do I do next?” confusion and frustration overwhelms you. At least that’s true for most people.
Obviously, in this brief article, we can’t cover this point in detail. Hopefully, I can point you in the right direction. If you are new to business in general, you must learn basic business principles and procedures first. Learn them at the same time you are learning the Internet. This can be done with the right courses.
If you are an experienced business person attempting to position your business effectively online, you need to analyze what you did when you first started it offline. This may seem like an overly simplified answer, and actually it is. But we have to start somewhere. The real answer is; you must learn to do business on the Internet just as you would any other form of business, especially its unique aspects.
The confusion starts with how simple it seems to start an Internet business. It’s true; it can be simpler and much less expensive to create an online business than a brick-and-mortar one. Most people think all you need is a company name, an effective website with the right bells and whistles, email, products, maybe a newsletter or Hotsheet, and you’re in business.
Nothing could be further from the truth! Why? Because this isn’t a business, it’s just an assortment of online tools. The business part involves the marketing efforts, selling, and servicing customers after the sale is made and daily operational procedures exclusive to your business and online activity. Most people know that. So why the confusion here? The basic answer here; most people don’t really understand the dynamics of online entrepreneurship.
The illusion created by having the website and related tools makes it appear you have a real business just waiting for someone to buy. If it were a brick-and-mortar retail business, you could have some walk-by or drive-by traffic, and in time referrals from satisfied customers. You would likely not have overwhelming competition in your immediate area, and could run some local advertising when needed.
What is different about the Internet? Answer this question successfully and you will be on your way to solving the online problem of confusion we referenced earlier. It is important to understand that it is a completely different animal than an offline business. It has many of the same characteristics as an offline business, but it is still dramatically different! People have different online buying patterns than offline.
Business etiquette is different online than off. Offline it is permissible to send unsolicited sales materials via postal service to the home. A mass mailing can often make it worth your while to do the campaign through generated sales. Some marketers purchase targeted mailing list that are often quite effective. It depends on variables specific to your business such as; are your customers local, regional, national, or international?
You can lose your access provider if you send unsolicited commercial sales messages through email. You must learn to develop opt-in (people subscribe to) mailing list that gives you permission to email people interested in your offering. This takes a special program and methods unique to the Internet to accomplish this project successfully. Do you know how to build an opt-in mailing list?
Everything online is virtual. Webster’s dictionary says virtual means “Computer Science. Created, simulated, or carried on by means of a computer or computer network: virtual conversations in a chatroom.”
You don’t have people walking or driving by your website. The amount of people online is staggering, in the hundreds of millions, and growing everyday. It has become the largest market in the world; yet most online businesses get little or none of the virtual traffic. Only those knowledgeable in the Internet business dynamics will succeed. Since the Internet is a virtual business, we must learn to attract virtual traffic and learn their online buying habits. Do you understand the process of how to do this?
Branding is of paramount importance in any business, online or offline. Putting customers in their comfort zone is an art form in any business, physical or virtual, and the rules required to do so are different for online businesses. Do you know them and what to do?
Please understand, I am not attempting to be insulting to you here or assert you are unintelligent. I am using this questioning approach to dramatize the important differences of doing business online. To paint a virtual image in your mind to help clarify this point.
So what is the basic answer to creating a successful online business? ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE specific to the Internets business dynamics! Where do you get this knowledge? Research and read. How do you find the best and accurate knowledge? If you are reading this article, you are already on the right path. The newsletter or article directory you found this article on will have other specific information relative to your needs.
You will need to learn what other successful Internet businesses are doing to be successful. These case histories will reveal insider information that can put you on the right road. How do you overcome the vast amount of hype online, to find the few pearls of business wisdom? For one, use you common sense. If it sounds too good to be true it it’s not true! Also, visit business forums and learn who are helping others solve their business problems. Search out expert authors’ renown for their expertise, and research their works. The same as required of you to setup any type of business.
Is there just one super course you can take that will have everything you need? Unfortunately, NO! There is one outstanding course available for everyone wanting to setup a business online the right way. There are a couple of courses on eBay marketing, written by those making millions annually.
There is only one course that stands out above all others if your plan is to develop a new product, manufacture it, and market it nationally or internationally. There is software and online services that can totally automate your website business for little cost. There is one website you can utilize free, if you need experienced consultants for website building, writing reports, sales letters, and marketing materials. And they charge about 10 cents on the dollar compared to many consultants.
If you are starting a new business, do you just take one class in college or read just one book on a single subject, accounting for example? Certainly not! You take different classes and read multiple books, each written by a specialist in that specific subject. Learning the Internet is the same as learning any other business. Don’t believe the so called “Guru’s” when they state their course is all you will need. You need to be directed to the right and best business information and resources.
Internet marketers are NOT necessarily scholars. Some write very simple without much style or pizzazz. But, if they are making a bundle online, others are emulating their systems and programs, follow their lead. They are doing it. That’s the best testimonial.
These are some of the things you need to know to setup and operate an online business. You must learn it as any other business venture. Is it difficult to learn or must you be a techie to succeed? Absolutely not!
How do you learn to go to the next level now? Visit my website listed in the signature box below and immediately download the free special report; “The ONLY Correct Way to Start an Internet Business!”
P.S. Don’t “Kill the Turtle” in your business. If you don’t know the meaning of this statement, the free special report will explain this important principle to you.
Powerful Caretakers - Taking Good Care of Ourselves First
Our community consists of powerful caretakers. We do a great job of assisting and loving those around us. However, many of us fall short when it comes to taking good care of ourselves. We expend our energies giving to our kids, our jobs, our partners, our schedules and more. Then, at the end of the day, we have nothing left for us. If this goes on for too long, we can begin to experience our lives as less than fulfilling.
However, more of us are becoming dedicated to the idea of putting ourselves first through radical self-care and self-love. If this sounds selfish, it’s only because we’ve been conditioned to value the needs of others over our own. But, consider for a moment that being run-down, exhausted and stressed-out lessens our ability to take care of other people. So taking good care of our selves is actually very unselfish. Following are some ways to immediately begin the journey toward more peace.
Meditation
Our community of men and women are argumentatively the most prayer-minded people on earth. We’re incredibly spiritual, and seem to have a special connection to inspiration. However, when the word meditation is mentioned many of us shy away. It’s time to change that paradigm. Meditation is not a replacement for prayer and no formal religion shuns its practice. Meditation is the practice of attuning to one’s own spirit, mind and body through focused awareness.
In many formal religions we tend to pray to an entity outside of ourselves. In meditation we focus inwardly, on the spirit within. We become aware of our aliveness through our breath and listening closely to what Spirit wants to express through our lives. This may come as an answer to a question you have about your life. It may also show up as a strong desire to move in a certain direction or make an important decision. Meditation is quite simply the attuning to the wisdom within.
The additional benefits are deep, calming stress-relief and a stronger mind-body connection.
Hiking
Nature Walking or Hiking is gaining popularity within our community. We’re beginning to spend more time in nature in an effort to connect deeply with the spirit within. The alertness that is required to observe the natural beauty around us is calming, energizing and edifying. Noticing the colors on the trees, listening to the sounds of the birds, and overlooking scenic landscapes or wonderful bodies of water can heal the soul very profoundly.
Hiking Alone
To be alone with your private thoughts in the space of your own company can be highly euphoric. Moving at you own pace and experiencing the freedom to take any path that looks interesting or simply stop to relax or read is very liberating. You can listen to inspirational music, messages of personal growth or a guided meditation on a portable CD player. Other times it’s better to simply listen to the sound of our beautiful natural world. Stop to journal when hiking. The insights you’ll get while hiking are rarely achieved during the hustle and bustle of work and family life.
Hiking with a Partner
If you feel uncomfortable hiking alone a partner is a great alternative. You can still get that special time with your own thoughts and feelings by hiking together to a destination, then separating enough to get some private space where you can be alone with your thoughts or listen to some media of your choosing. Agree upon an amount of time for this (a half-hour to an hour is usually good) then re-commune and hike back to the car. Try to keep the conversation as positive as possible. Use this valuable time for spiritual reflection and healing. Give encouragement, love and support to each other every step of the way and hiking with a partner can be powerfully rejuvenating and healing.
Practical Items for Hiking:
Always bring water. And, if you’re hiking for more than a couple of miles it’s a good idea to bring some food, i.e. sandwiches, trail-mix and/or fruit.
You don’t have to invest a lot of money, but a good pair of hiking shoes will make your experience more pleasurable. They absorb the rocks and irregularities of the trails/paths you’ll be walking on.
Dress in layers that are easily adjustable for body temperature. Wear a breathable shirt next to your skin, and a jacket with a good zipper for variability.
If you bring a backpack, it should contain the following items:
Water and Food
First-aid pack
Pocket knife
A camera - I always see something I wish to capture on film
A flashlight and fresh batteries
An extra shirt
Something to sit on such as a sheet, blanket of other pad.v
I also pack my journal and a pen
The most important thing about hiking is your personal space. View it as a
Mini-retreat.
Journal Expressions
If you haven’t already done so, please start keeping a journal today. It is one of the most effective ways to hear your own voice. You should not share the information in your journal with anyone. These are your private and innermost sacred thoughts. You should not hold back in any way when expressing yourself within your journal. Let it flow freely, using any language that most accurately conveys your true thoughts. It is incredibly healing and calming to get your thoughts down in written form. Later, you can return to your entries to see how you’ve grown or are handling similar situations differently. The key is in knowing that no one else will ever see your entries.
Paper Journal
Keeping a paper journal offers you the advantage of being able to make entries at any time you feel. You can also express yourself through drawings or sketching as well. I’ve even pasted pictures inside. You’ll notice that you write larger and with a heavier strokes when angry or anxious. While feelings of appreciation and peace will show up differently in your handwriting. All of this is a wealth of great information when looking back on your earlier entries of several months or years ago.
On-line Journal
If you can type privately, an on-line journal offers the maximum in privacy. You will log-on with a unique user name and password (Just remember to log-off each time you finish an entry). You can set up your journal to contain categories such as: daily entries, goals, gratitude, nighttime dreams, etc. Later, it’s easy to search your entries using key words or dates. Just think about this for a minute, the possibilities are awesome.
I suggest using the journal on the Oprah.com site. She takes incredible measures to ensure privacy. I’ve been using it for over four years now and have more than 2000 entries. It only takes a few minutes and you’ll be up and journal keeping. Be sure to use a very unique, but easy to remember user name and password. Try to make a minimum of one entry per day. You’ll be amazed at how good it feels.
Reading
Reading great books or listening to audio on the issues of spirituality and personal growth is yet another way to get stronger and move more consistently toward the life your desire. What we absorb into our spirits through reading is vitally important to our personal growth and sense of well being. Try to place a high priority on reading a spiritually engaging book at least every two months. During times of life-transition and change, read more.
As you move forward on this path, you will notice that you have more patience for others, and that the constant chatter in your head will be quieted. You will begin putting yourself first in an unapologetic way, with the understanding that the healthier you are, the more positively you affect the people around you.
Build Muscle And Boost Your Bench in 8 Weeks
What two things do most guys want when they take up weight
training? Bigger muscles and a bigger bench. Unfortunately,
their enthusiasm for these goals is a big reason most men don’t
get either. From now on, when you hit the gym, take a look
around and start paying attention to what others are doing.
You’ll quickly notice some standard muscle building no-no’s.
First, their weight lifting routines are far from balanced.
When’s the last time you saw anyone working hard on the deadlift
or the free weight squat? Heck, nowadays, how many so-called
“gyms” even have a power rack? Not many. By not pursuing a
balanced bodybuilding routine focused on the big, basic
movements, you’re really limiting the amount of muscle you can
build.
If you focus on exercises for your biggest muscles, the back and
the legs, you’ll start building muscle everywhere. You’ll also
see your strength and poundages shoot up on your other exercises
as well. And that includes the bench press.
The other major stumbling block people run into when trying to
build a big bench is that they bench too much. They do too many
sets too often. They end up overtrained, weaker, and possibly
with shoulder and rotator cuff injuries.
So what can you do to build a bigger bench? First, start
focusing on deadlifting and squatting. And, more directly,
implement power cycles specifically geared toward increasing
your bench press. Here’s an eight week power cycle you can use
today.
You’ll be performing five sets each workout. Two of these sets
will be warm up sets and the final three will be your work sets.
Let’s say you start your cycle with 170 pounds. Each workout
you’ll warm up sets will look something like this:
125 x 10 followed by 140 x 6
Your work sets will follow:
Week 1: 170 x 5 x 3 (3 sets of 5 reps each)
Week 2: 175 x 4 x 3
Week 3: 180 x 3 x 3
Week 4: 175 x 5 x 3
Week 5: 180 x 4 x 3
Week 6: 185 x 3 x 3
Week 7: 180 x 5 x 3
Week 8: 185 x 4 x 3
Depending on your current strength levels, recovery ability,
and whether you’re overtrained at all from your previous
routine, you might be able to make better progress by
implementing two bench press workouts per week.
After you work through a successful eight week power cycle,
you’ll want to shift gears for a few weeks and perform sets with
some higher repetitions. Shoot for 4 or 5 setes of eight reps
per set.
Remember to train your other muscles as well. Properly working
your shoulders, triceps, back and even legs will help you build
a bigger bench as well as building bigger muscles. Don’t be one
of those guys that benches and does some arm work and that’s the
extent of his workout.
Give this power cycle an honest try and see if you don’t end up
boosting your bench and building bigger muscles.
Very Early Signs of Pregnancy - Do You Know the 10 Pregnancy Signs?
Very early signs of pregnancy - are there 10 pregnancy signs? Yes, there are signs that indicate very early that you are pregnant. Some women will experience one or two of them, others will have several of the very early signs of pregnancy. Once you have conceived, it will take about a week for the fertilized egg to implant in the uterus. As implantation happens, it’s now possible to experience one or more of the 10 pregnancy signs and begin to know you are pregnant. Around this time, hormone levels begin to change, and the body reacts to these new hormone levels.
Here are 10 pregnancy signs:
1. Light Spotting - if you have conceived, spotting can happen when implantation occurs before your menstrual period should begin. Pregnancy bleeding from implantation is pinkish or brownish and not heavy. A normal menstrual flow should begin light, become heavy, then taper off again before ending.
2. More Frequent Urination - urinating more often is one of the very early signs of pregnancy. Many women experience more frequent urination even before a missed period, usually from about 7-12 days after the temperature rise at ovulation. The changes in hormone levels produced by implantation of the embryo, especially the hormone “human chorionic gonadotropin” (hCG), cause more frequent urination.
3. Elevated Body Temperature - it’s normal to have an increase in body temperature at ovulation. Your basal body temperature staying elevated after ovulation is completed and remaining elevated through when your period should begin can be one of the very early signs of pregnancy.
4. Missing a Menstrual Period - a missed period is one of the obvious 10 pregnancy signs. However, you can miss a period for other reasons including illness, stress, hormone imbalance and reactions to foods or medications. If your menstrual cycle normally occurs very regularly, missing a period can be a sign.
5. Fatigue - lack of energy as one of the very early signs of pregnancy may be hard to distinguish from other kinds of exhaustion. Feeling tired is related to the change in hormones in the body, which usually disappears as the body adjusts to the new hormone levels.
6. Cramping - the uterus can contract often and regularly. Moving around, exercise and orgasm all can trigger uterine cramping in early pregnancy.
7. Nausea - morning sickness is the name given to feeling nauseated when pregnant. Of the 10 pregnancy signs, only about half of pregnant women experience nausea, and feeling nauseated can happen any time of the day or night.
8. Tender Nipples and Breasts - one of the very early signs of pregnancy is a feeling of tenderness in the breasts and nipples. The good news is that these feelings of tenderness go away as the body becomes accustomed to the new hormone levels.
9. Darker Areolas - the area around the nipples becomes darker as early as one week after conception. The bumps on the areolas may look more prominent.
10. Constipation - you may notice a change in your bowels in early pregnancy. The intestines may relax and function less due to changing hormones and be one of the 10 pregnancy signs.
Once the very early signs of pregnancy are experienced, confirm pregnancy by using one of the better home pregnancy tests. There are major differences in the reliability of the home tests for pregnancy. A blood pregnancy test can be accurate as early as 8 to 10 days after conception, and a urine pregnancy test can be accurate as early as 10 to 14 days following conception. Pregnancy tests are not 100% accurate. If you feel you are pregnant but your pregnancy test result is negative, do the test again in a week or so and see your physician.
Remember to take good care of your body even before you become pregnant. Give up smoking and alcohol, eat healthy and begin exercising. Those first few weeks and your health are vitally important to help support healthy development of your new baby. Becoming pregnant and enjoying a successful pregnancy is a complex but wonderful experience. Besides knowing the 10 pregnancy signs, learn as much as you can about fertility, pregnancy and your health so your new baby will have the very best beginning to life that is possible.
